F-FDG PET/CT en Hemangioendotelioma epiteloide; a propósito de un caso

Abstract

Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma is a rare vascular tumor, described initially by Weiss and Enzinger in 1982. Because of his clinical course and histology it is considered an intermediate neoplasm between a benign hemangioma and an angiosarcoma. The most frequent localizations are liver, lung and bone, but it can also compromise soft tissue, skin, brain, among others, and can be presented as single or multiple. It does not show preference for sex or age and it is more frequent in mid-age adults. We present a case of EHE in soft tissue with a metastatic lymphadenopathy detected on 18F-FDG PET/CT.
